The Gators fight For a basketball.

On Friday, November 22, the Varsity Men’s and Women’s Basketball teams took on a tough opponent in South Garner. Both of these games were very intense, but unfortunately the Men’s team fell to the talented Titans. The women’s team beat the Titans in a somewhat lopsided victory.

In the Varsity Men’s game, Green Level held it to a very tight score margin in the first half, but the Gators could not keep up with the speedy Titans in the second half and got beat by a final score of 42-75. The Gators will look to get their first win on home court against Fuquay-Varina on Monday, November 25th.

The Varsity Women’s Basketball won against the South Garner Titans. This game was all Green Level from the beginning. Both teams played very hard as the final score was 51-15. We caught up with Gianna Palange to ask her some questions about this win.

Palange told us that “I see the season going really well. We play as a team and we all play with passion and we all have love for the sport so it makes playing the games more fun,” adding that “I think we have an advantage because we have players who play all positions and each one of our players has something that they are strong in.”

The Gators look to maintain their undefeated record against Fuquay-Varina on Monday, November 25th. Come cheer on your Gators!
