The Grammy’s were a big deal, and the ceremony on Jan. 20 was full of celebrities we all know and love. But, people weren’t happy when the new pop artist, Billie Eilish, walked away with 5 Grammys. Not because of this teen’s recent success, but because of other popular singers, a surprising amount of Grammys were received…none!

It was awkward, nobody can deny that feeling from this year’s Grammys. Everything from Insider to The New Yorker has covered how this year’s Grammys was the most disappointing. The best young solo artist even admitted it herself when she got grammy after grammy, saying, “Can I just say that I think Ariana deserves this?” in  the acceptance speech she earned for album of the year. Many people on social media also agree that Grande’s fifth album, “Thank U Next,” was more deserving. 

Of course it’s not Billie’s fault! She’s a great artist, especially considering how amazing and heartfelt her music is at only 18! But even Eilish herself thought that some other artists should have gotten at least one grammy too.
