Even though we aren’t physically in school anymore, some students, such as Isma’il “Wavy Nation” Muhammad, this week’s Gator of the Week, have still been managing to excel. According to his teacher, Isma’il has been extremely academically talented in and out of class.

Health and sports medicine teacher, Mrs. Strickland, told us that Isma’il is “a hardworking student who is involved in a lot of things personally and does well academically.”  Isma’il is a sophomore, originally from Boston.  Not only does he work hard academically, he recently informed us that he is using this extra time to perfect his Spanish speaking skills and to learn Arabic!

Congratulations, Isma’il “Wavy Nation.”  Mrs. Strickland summed up her recommendation by saying, “He is a great kid and I think would be a good feature for The Gator’s Eye!” We couldn’t agree more. You definitely deserve this title for maintaining academic success even through online schooling, and pursuing additional enrichment outside of it.
