On May 14th, the Green Level track team traveled to Apex Friendship for the 4A Mideast Regional championship.

Below is a summary of the 13 that successfully advanced to the State Championship this coming week.

Campbell Dille, Brooke Alexander, Kaylie Dziedzina, Eliza Greengrass: Girls 4X800 team, 4th place

Advaith Cheruvu, Jake Lominack, Ocean Yang, Alex Fernandez: Boys 4X800 team, 4th place

Girls 4X400 team

Laveyah Hill – 200

Alex Fernandez –1600

Eliza Greengrass (also qualified on 4X800 team) – 3200

Alexa Nestor – 100h and 300h

Chorley Truitt – Pole Vault

Darius King – Triple Jump

We got to interview Cam Chatmon earlier in the season about his goals. In our questioning he stated, “I am looking forward to going to all the invitational meets and going back to regionals and hopefully making it to states this year.”

Cameron Chatmon and our 12 other track stars can all turn that “hopefully” into an “I did it” after their Regional success.
