Student Athlete of The Week: Colton Wade

The student-athlete for this week is Senior swimmer, Colton Wade. Colton is successful in and out of the pool, being a well-conditioned athlete while maintaining straight A’s at the same time. I asked him a few questions about being named student-athlete of the week.

How do you feel being named student-athlete of the week?

“It’s really cool that a swimmer is getting acknowledged. I’ve been with the team for four years now, and it’s nice to finally get this award.”

How do you manage to balance your school work with swimming?

“It’s definitely very hard: 5:30 am morning practice, go straight to school, get out of school, go back to the pool for another practice. I have to find time to do homework and on a lucky day have a social life, but it’s worth it in the end.”

What are your goals for this season?

“Committing to a school is my biggest goal right now. I’ve been talking to some schools, and I’d like to commit before the season is up.”

Congratulations on this accomplishment and keep up all the hard work!
