Elf On The Shelf Hiding Spots
December 16, 2022
If you are under the age of 12, don’t read this…
Elf On The Shelf is a tradition where little kids and families can have fun during the holidays. The elf goes off to the North Pole every night and tells Santa if you have been naughty or nice; in the morning, he hides and expects someone to find them. The rules are simple, don’t touch him, or he will lose all his magic. The elves can’t talk to humans, but they can talk to each other and are very smart.
Here are ten unique ways to hide your elf on the shelf:
- In the fridge: Elves are from the North Pole, so they are used to the cold
- In a chandelier: Elves drop from the North Pole every night. Attach balloons and celebrate your elf’s arrival.
- By the fireplace: you can pretend like the elf is on vacation, like at the beach
- Snowballs: Make sure to use mini marshmallows
- Hot Chocolate Hot tub: Pretend the elf is taking a bath in a mug filled with mini marshmallows.
- Snow Angels: you can use sprinkles and place the elf anywhere on a kitchen countertop
- Photoshoot: if your kid has another doll they play with, you can get all of them to have a photoshoot
- Hiding in the tree: This is a classic, but if you want to make it even better, you can paint camo on the elf’s face to hide it in the tree.
- Coffee Maker: Use a coffee pod and poke a straw through it like the elf is drinking coffee
- Sharpie: draw a washable marker on your kid’s face and place a marker in the elf’s hand, so it looks like he did it
If you want to spice it up, you can buy accessories for your elf and toys he can play with around the house. These are just some ideas to make Elf on The Shelf a little more fun for your younger siblings this Holiday season.
