The new movie Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania came out on Friday, February 17, 2023. This movie was released by Marvel Studios as a sequel to the two previous Ant-Man movies; Ant-Man and Ant-Man and the Wasp. The movie is about 2 hours long and you can see it in most theaters. 

Overall we thought the movie was pretty good. It was easy to understand even if you had not watched the previous two movies.

The movie started off with Ant-Man coming home after saving the world in the last movie. Then, Ant-Man (Scott Lang) and his family, which includes Hope van Dyne; Hope’s parents, Hank Pym and Janet van Dyne; and Scott’s daughter Cassie are accidentally sent to the Quantum Realm and become trapped there.

Once they are sucked into the Quantum Realm, they are attacked by creatures and the group gets separated. Ant-Man and Cassie stay together, and then Hope and her parents are together.  Hope and her parents are almost killed as people and creatures in the Quantum Realm have memories of Janet trapping the “God” of the quantum realm, called Kang. Kang wants to escape the Quantum Realm. In order to do this he needs to get back his power core which powers the Time Chair. Getting the power core will allow Kang to travel across the multiverse and escape the Quantum Realm. Kang demands that Scott Lang must retrieve the power core or else he will kill Cassie.

We thought it was a good movie as the movie had an interesting storyline and the aliens were cool. It was also cool to see the CGI landscape of the quantum realm shown in lots of detail. One of our favorite characters was Veb because he was cute and added humor to the movie. 

In this movie, it was cool to see how Scott Lang (Ant-Man) balanced being a superhero but also at the same time taking care of his daughter Cassie and being a dad.
