Women’s Soccer Season Opener Against Wakefield: Presley Johnson Hat Trick

Women’s soccer had their first season opener game against Wakefield. The Gators came out with a win of 4-0. They were led by senior Presley Johnson, scoring a hattrick (3 goals). We had the chance to talk to Presley about the excitement of getting a hat trick, and her personal and team goals for the rest of the season.

What are your personal goals for the season? “My personal goals are to be the best teammate I can be and contribute to what we want to achieve as a team this season. I also want to continue working on adding to the attack and getting forward to help the team score.”

What motivated you to score a hat trick? “I was encouraged by my teammates and coaches. I was also inspired by our season last year which unfortunately ended short in playoffs.”

How is the team chemistry this year? Did the team motivate you to get the hat trick? “Our team chemistry is super strong this year. I love all my teammates and we all get along super well. The team definitely motivated me and I am super excited for the rest of the season.”

How do you feel getting the hat trick? “I feel super good but we still have a lot of work to do to prepare for conference games.”
