On Tuesday night in their match against Green Hope, the Gators took on the Green Hope Falcons at home in a thrilling 14-5 victory.

During the game, Green Level Lacrosse history was made as Austin Hyrn became the first player ever to reach the 100-goal mark after his staggering 6th goal of the night. We had a chance to talk with Austin about the milestone, as well as his personal and team goals for the rest of the season.

What are your team’s goals for the rest of the season? “My goals line up with my team goals, I know that the team and myself have a common goal of making a long run in the playoffs this year.”

How did reaching this milestone feel knowing you made program history? “It felt good, being a part of something special like that. But more importantly, making my mark at the school and contributing to the success of the program is what I always hope to contribute.”

How is the squad’s teamwork and chemistry this season so far? “The chemistry this year is great, dealing with unfortunate injuries and still being able to have the ability to win games is something not every team has.”

Green Level Men’s Lacrosse is currently 9-1 after this win and is hoping to keep this great record going throughout the remainder of the season.

You can catch their next game on Friday, 3/24 away at Apex Friendship.
