Junior Lacrosse Captain, Gus Maggio has made Green Level history by being the first Men’s Lacrosse player to score 100 career assists.

He got his 100th assist against Cary High School on Tuesday night with a great pass to Junior, Marcus Myers, who put it past the goalie and cemented Gus in Green Level history.

We asked Gus a few questions about his accomplishment:

How does it feel to make history at Green Level?

It’s great to be the first one ever in the program, It’s nice to be able to share the experience with Austin Hyrn as well who just got his 100th goal.

What was going through your mind when you found out you got your 100th assist?

I was going into the game with 99, and I was thinking I just need one more assist. After a few good saves by the goalie, my teammate Marcus Myers put the last ball in.

What are your team goals for the rest of the season?

To keep growing together, build friendships, and continue our winning season and hopefully beat reigning state champs, Middle Creek.
