On Tuesday night, the Green Level Gators played against the Apex Cougars in their second face-off of the season. The first time they matched up this year, the game was hard-fought but the Gators were able to pull away and secure the win.

This time around, the Gators started out strong, having a huge lead at the end of the first quarter, up 7-1. Captain and Gator Bling winner for the game, Brian Bracciante had the first goal of the game. The second quarter was pretty uneventful with the Gators maintaining their lead but only scoring 2 goals, making the score going into the second half 9-2. The Cougars started to make a run in the third quarter, fighting back to make it a 5-point game with the score going into the fourth and final quarter 11-6, Green Level still in the lead. In the final quarter, the Gators stepped up once again in the highest scoring quarter of the game with a final score of 16-9 a big Gator win.

I asked Brian Bracciante a few questions about his thoughts on the game:

How do you think the team performed?

I think the team came together as one after battling through injuries and played a very good game.

How do you feel you individually performed?

I would just love to shout out my teammates, I thought I played well but I couldn’t have done it without my teammates.

What, if anything, do you think the team needs to improve upon?

Man-up offense, we need to capitalize on these man-up opportunities and be scoring at least 50% of the time.
