What is the “Coastal Cowgirl” Aesthetic?

The coastal cowgirl aesthetic is rising!

While the “Coastal Grandma” aesthetic was the style of 2022, the “Coastal Cowgirl” style is taking over this year. The style gained popularity on the platforms TikTok and Pinterest. The owner of Dairy Boy, Paige Lorenze, has been given credit for the inspiration. The style has also been popularized by several celebrities, including Kendall Jenner, Dua Lipa, and Pamela Anderson. The trend shows a laid-back, coastal lifestyle. The hashtag #coastalcowgirl has over 54 million views on TikTok today.

So what is the coastal cowgirl aesthetic? The style is a mix of the “Coastal Grandma” style from last year, with southern staples added in. The style consists of ruffles, linen, and eyelet fabrics, with denim, cowboy boots, and cowboy hats. This style reminds many people of summer, which can explain the rise in popularity.

This style has been seen at recent festivals, including Coachella and Stagecoach. Recently, on the runway, Philipp Plein included the southern style in his Milan fashion week looks. Even the inventor of the “coastal grandma” style, Matilda Djerf, has moved over to “coastal cowgirl” pieces. Are you following the “Coastal Cowgirl” style for this summer?
