Taylor Swift has been all over the media recently, with her recent re-release of Speak Now (Taylor’s Version) and announcement of 1989 (Taylor’s Version), the U.S. leg of the Era’s Tour, and the international tour beginning. Taylor’s recent “easter eggs” are leading fans to believe reputation (Taylor’s Version) is next.
Legally, Swift has to wait five years before re-releasing her albums. For her album reputation, the earliest she could re-record was November 10, 2022. Recent easter eggs have hinted that the re-release will come shortly after 1989 (Taylor’s Version) comes out.
First, Taylor was seen wearing a diamond dress to the 2022 MTV Awards. Swifties compared the dress in a scene in the “Look What You Made Me Do” music video. Another easter egg fans spotted was in the “I Can See You” music video. Taylor was wearing red lipstick and was locked in a vault. These also reference the “Look What You Made Me Do” music video. Also, this song was featured in the trailer for the show “Wilderness”; which premiered this month. Delicate (Taylor’s Version) was teased on August 3, in an episode of The Summer I Turned Pretty.
Taylor hasn’t announced a release date but fans speculate that the re-release will come out in 2024 from this easter egg. The writing in the reputation font, from The Man Music Video looks like it has “2024” written inside of it.
Some fans believe that reputation (Taylor’s Version) will be announced in February of 2024. In this scene from the “I Can See You” music video, her fingernail that is painted light blue is pointing to the 8, on the latte art, while the black fingernail is pointing to the 2. 1989 (Taylor’s Version) was announced on the eighth month, specifically on August 9.
The last theory that fans believe is that Swift is getting her “reputation” back (from a re-release of the album) and then her “name” (from a re-release of her debut album). Although there are many theories out about what her next album will be, this one has the most easter eggs. What album do you think will be released next?
