Green Level high school students are very excited to dive into spirit week, which leads to the homecoming dance this coming Saturday. 

The week starts off with Monday being Adam Sandler Day, where students are invited to wear comfy clothes such as oversized shorts and t-shirts, which are typical in Adam Sandler movies. 

Tuesday consists of country vs. country club. Students are encouraged to dress in either of the two groups. Country consists of cowboy hats, cowboy boots, and other Western attire. The other side, Country Club, will consist of polos and khaki shorts.

Wednesday will be designated as a twin day. Students can find a partner to match or wear similar clothing with. You could also find multiple people or a group to match with. There is a teacher work day on Thursday, so no school that day. 

To finish off the week, on Friday the theme is class colors. Freshmen wear the color gray. Next, Sophomores wear the color green. Then, follow the juniors, who will be wearing the color white. Finally, seniors will be wearing navy. Also on Friday, there is a pep rally at 1:00 in the main gym, along with the homecoming football game against Apex High School. At the football game, they will also announce who is on the homecoming court.

Mr. Hodges organizes student government, and they along with the Goonies helped create Spirit Week. There is a lot of excitement for the entire week, but Friday especially has many people looking forward to the upcoming week. As stated by Mr. Hodges when asked about which day he’s most looking forward to, “I’m most excited for Friday because you’ve got so many things going on, the class color wars, the pep rally, the game, unveiling teacher of the year, along with homecoming court.”
