Green Level’s annual fall play is coming up, and they are performing The Jungle Book! The Jungle Book is a beloved story among many generations and is perfect to see with family and friends. The play will take place on October 11th and 12th at 7 pm, and the 12th also has a show at 2 p.m.
Still curious about the play? Let’s look inside at what the cast/crew have been working on these past few months.
The play contains cast members of all grades. Mia Fernandez Revilla, a student in the play, who plays the wolf pack leader, “The best part of the play is the set and costumes. They are more particular this year since most of us have to dress as animals.”
Behind the scenes where you don’t see it, students put their all into the production. Aimee Fazio is a junior who works in costumes for the play this year. “There has been a lot of thought put into the costumes for each individual.”
Aimee has been doing costumes every year since 9th grade. She does the musicals and the plays, making her extremely experienced within the department.
“We have a budget and must make sure to stay within that budget, but also ensure everyone has a costume. We also help with quick changes by laying out costumes that need to be changed into right away, this puts less stress on the actors.”
The dedication that has been put into the production should be appreciated. Only having 3 months to plan and execute a show is extremely impressive.
