On October 7, 2024, the Green Level Women’s Golf team secured their conference win, becoming the 2024 Southwest Wake Athletic Conference Champions. This victory was unanticipated, and the players had to truly step up and elevate their game to clinch the win against eight other schools. 

Despite facing tough competition, the team showed incredible composure under pressure, with each, but specifically a few star players, including Senior Lauren Eggers and Junior Eliana Kim, contributing crucial performances during the tournament. Their precision, focus, and teamwork were on full display. 

After speaking with Senior Lauren Eggers, a key player in this game that led to their conference victory, she says “My mindset was just kind of to play the golf that I’ve been playing and to just not think about the conference too much and not think about having to win and having to get the points back from Friendship.” 

Also, after being asked who stepped up to get this win her response says as follows “Eliana (Kim) and Grace (Norman-Decker) definitely stepped up. They both put up good scores. Eliana finished with a great par on 18 and Grace as well.” 

The Women’s Golf team also secured back-to-back SWAC Championships in 2022 and 2023, and this victory continued their impressive streak. 

With this conference triumph, Green Level achieved their 15th SWAC championship across all sports in just five short years since establishing the school, further solidifying the schools dominance in athletics.
