When we think of fall, we think of pumpkin spice lattes, Halloween, and the colors of purple and orange. But is there something else that arises during this special time?
When a fellow student at Green Level is asked they say, “For me, fall is about spending time with my friends and going to Halloween-themed events. I love going to Phillips Farm, a haunted farm with scary houses, and spending the entire night with my friends eating snacks, and drinks, and having fun. A little bit of Halloween candy never hurts too.”
When the weather is just a little cooler, people start gearing up for the fall weather and all the excitement. The decorations, jack-o-lanterns, candy comas, and trick-or-treating make fall way more exciting.
Pumpkin spice cravings shoot through the roof as soon as it’s officially declared that fall has started. The craze around the season’s flavor keeps spirits alive during a time when the weather isn’t up to our expectations.
The New York Post thinks that “more than one-third of respondents (36%) admit that they get more impatient for the start of fall than any other season.” showing that people often find the craving for pumpkin spice during this time of the year.
In my opinion, when I think of fall, I think about going to haunted houses, dressing up for Halloween, eating buckets of candy, and having lots of good weather. For me, it’s one step closer to Thanksgiving break.
