Everyone loves fall for the scenery, things are beautiful, Halloween is coming, and it’s the perfect weather—it’s perfect in most ways. There are a lot of fun activities for students and children, but what do teachers do during the fall?
Teachers not only love the weather and scenery of fall, but they also love fall breaks. The main reasons are trying out new food, going on a trip, having a laid-back lifestyle, and enjoying the scenery.
According to a survey of eight teachers from Green Level High School, three teachers like to have a laid-back lifestyle, two teachers like to go to different places using different methods of transportation and three teachers want to try out new food.
Additionally, according to the survey, they have all said one common thing: they love the scenery.
Speaking of scenery, Mrs.Patrick, who has three daughters and doesn’t have time to relax, has one place in mind, “Going to the state fair is going to be fun and exciting for me and my family since it is our first time together.”
The state fair recently opened up which is a great way of enjoying scenery, having a trip, and trying out new food! This is an all-in-one kind of fun for all age groups which makes it the most popular visited place.
The state fair is a place with amusement rides and food stalls as far as the eye can see, and it’s outdoors which is a great way to enjoy the weather.
Beautiful fall colors start to appear on the trees and nature of State parks. Many state parks, like Lake Raleigh, have great fall colors and it is near to the Cary/Apex area which is more convenient than going all the way to the mountains for the scenery.
State Parks are a great place to relax, have a picnic, hike, and do many other activities. Going to these places is not only relaxing for the body, it is also relaxing for the mind.
Anna Jarnigan, a biology teacher at Green Level High, who has plans for spring break but not fall break says, “I am going to enjoy the scenery as I chill at home. I can’t wait for the fall colors!”
Fall allows teachers to have a break from the long hours of teaching students putting them down the right path, and allowing them to do things they enjoy. It’s important to thank your teachers for their hard work and hope they can all get some rest and recovery this fall season!
