The Automotive Club at Green Level is unique. The car community around Cary and Apex is very pervasive, but students at school did not enjoy anything that connected them with the car community. Green Level’s Automotive Club brought that absence to life.
Founded by Scarlett Andrews, Class of 2025, this club is perfect for people who want to learn more about the car community and cars. Green Level didn’t have any classes or clubs related to cars that would allow students to become open to that field or consider it a career pathway, but that changed when the automotive club came to the school.
When meetings are held in the student parking lot, students and local car enthusiasts alike meet up for the duration of connectivity for a mini car show to show off their sports cars, tuner/modified cars, and sometimes exotic cars and visually learn about the different components, systems, etc. This provides students with an interactive experience separate from the classroom, which many students don’t have to begin with.
Mini car shows aren’t the only things that happen in Automotive Club. From watching educational videos explaining different parts of the car in detail to watching dash cam fails, Automotive Club is a place for students to gather for a unique experience from a club that can’t be found anywhere else in the school.
The Automotive Club meets in room 2149, Mr. Moore’s room, or the student parking lot every other Friday during connectivity. Sign up on AllTimely!
