This week our school celebrated spirit week. Every day had a different theme, giving everyone a chance to participate and get creative. Spirit week is more than just themed outfits, it’s about building excitement for homecoming and all the fun traditions that come with it.
Monday starts off with Jersey Day, students wore anything from pro team and college gear to even some of our own school jerseys too. Tuesday switches it up with country out, which means boots, plaid, and cowboy hats. Wednesday is twin day, always a fan favorite since people can get very creative when they match with their friends. Thursday keeps the fun going with camo day, and this was definitely the most dressed out day.
To end the week is class colors. Freshmen wear gray, sophomores wear green, juniors wear navy, and seniors wear white. This day helps you connect with people that you may have not known were in your grade, and make new connections with fellow classmates.
Students were very excited about this week. Sophomore Poppy Fishburn said, “I really love seeing everyone dress up. It makes me more excited to go to the football game and the actual dance. I feel like it is also a fun way to bring the students together.”
All this spirit leads into the homecoming football game. On Friday night the Green Level Gators will face rival team, Panther Creek. The game will take place at the swamp at 7 PM. Then the following day, Saturday at 7 PM in the main gym, the homecoming dance will take place. The homecoming staff and organizers worked really hard to make this night a success, so make sure to come and support.
