Today, Friday, September 19th, Green level is having its annual homecoming pep rally in the main gym. Students will be on a modified schedule, and they are expected to attend the pep rally after lunch.
The pep rally will open with the band playing while students are coming in to amp the energy in the gymnasium from the start. The band performance will be followed by Rob Connett teaching the crowd how to perform a signature move. This will be followed by a dance team show.
Next, all fall sports will have their own introduction and speakers; this includes the women’s volleyball team, currently ranked #1 among the 8A NCHSAA schools.
After the team introductions, the homecoming court will be brought in from each class. The Homecoming King and Queen will be announced at the Homecoming dance.
The cheer team will perform a routine before the announcement of this year’s Green Level Teacher of the Year.
A competitive game of musical chairs between students from different graduating classes will precede the awarding of the “Spirit Stick” for the class that participates the loudest.
Student Body President, Amelia Wu said, “Students should be excited to attend the pep rally because it’s a great way to celebrate our fall sports team. It is also a great opportunity for our students to increase school spirit and show up for our school. Each class will be seated in their section of the gym, wearing their class colors, which will make it more fun and exciting!”
We look forward to seeing the Gators representing our school by showing up and showing out at this special event.
