Monday October 5th, our Green Level Gators Volleyball Team returned to school to kick off the season with their first workout.

They are the first team to step foot in the gym since the pandemic.During their workouts they have been taking precautions such as temperature checks, social distancing, screening questions, and wearing masks.

“I think the first workout went very well and I’m super excited to see how things turn out with the team. I really think we are going to be really good this year.” says Halle Gibson, Junior setter.

“I think right now we are really just trying to create a bond off the court which I believe is super important so that you can connect and work together on the court,” Gibson adds.

Gibson gives advice to other athletes at Green Level to wear your mask and maintain social distance so that they can continue to be in the gym and prepare for the upcoming seasons.

“We are setting the tone for the upcoming sports that follow. We are making sure to follow the correct procedures and precautions so we can continue workouts and lead a path for the following sports so they can begin their workouts when the time comes,” says Ava Toppin, Junior middle blocker.

COVID-19 has taken a toll on high school sports seasons all around the country and it is our job to take the precautions seriously and prepare for any outbreaks that may arise.
