Green Level Volleyball Dominates In The Home Stretch
January 5, 2021
The Green Level Volleyball team picked up two convincing wins during their row of home games on December 16th and 17th. Spectators were once again allowed to come in and watch the Gators play, with strict Covid-19 guidelines and seating arrangements. Everyone, masked up and distanced, made sure to do their part in being safe while viewing the games.
On the 16th, the 4-1 Gators tackled a 3-2 Cary High School. In a back and forth match, Green Level took the win over Cary 3 sets to 1. Both JV teams also took care of business, winning their own games. The Varsity win was Green Level’s first victory over the Cary Imps in the school’s volleyball history.
The Gators then sought to win at home again, this time facing the 4-4 Panther Creek Catamounts. The Gators dominated the 1st set by a score of 25-11. Panther Creek then picked it up and the two teams battled the 2nd set down to the wire, with Green Level successfully coming out on top by a score of 25-23. The team then finished things off with a 25-16 3rd set and swept Panther Creek 3-0.
With two great wins on home court, the Green Level Volleyball team now sits at a high 7-2 record, second in the conference. The team will now continue their season after break in January.
