The Gator Weekly Roundup 2/15 – 2/19

Basketball, Lacrosse, and Soccer were all in action this shortened week.

Basketball: Varsity Men’s lost their closest game of the season at Riverside-Durham with a score of 51-41 on 2/16. Women’s basketball ended the season on 2/17, picking up a dominant road win against Athens Drive, with a final score of 42-23. On 2/19, the Men’s Varsity Basketball team closed out their season with an unfortunate 52-32 loss to the Cary Imps.

Lacrosse: The Women’s lacrosse beat Riverside by a score of 21-4. Both games for men’s lacrosse this week were cancelled due to inclement weather. Next week the men’s team will play three consecutive games Monday-Wednesday. Those games include a road rematch with Athens, another road game at Jordan, and a home game with the Corinth Holders on Tuesday. The women’s team will also travel to Athens on Monday for their lone game of the week.

Soccer: Both JV and Varsity Men’s Soccer had a game on Wednesday 2/17 against the Cary Imps. The JV game ended in a 1-1 draw. The varsity team, however, won big by a score of 5-1. Caden Covington led the team with his 2 early goals in the first half. Next week, the Varsity team will have an away game against Jordan (2/23) and a home rematch against Panther Creek (2/26)
