Big Plans for Green Level Volleyball

Our Green Level Gators Women’s Volleyball team has had a fast start to their season and it couldn’t be going any better for them. They currently maintain a record of 4-0, as they continue their winning streak with 4 games as of Monday.

Their first game was held on 8/17 against Willow Springs and they dominated the match, winning in 3 straight sets. Ava Toppin and Lizzie Boggess led the Gators in kills, each having a total of 7.

They traveled to Cardinal Gibbons for their second game on 8/19. It was a challenging game lasting all 5 sets, but they were able to walk away with the win, defeating the reigning 2020 4A State Champions. It was a big upset for the Crusaders but a major accomplishment for our Lady Gators.

Monday 8/23, they played versus Heritage and walked away with the win after just 3 sets, increasing their winning streak once more.

Senior, Halle Gibson has the most overall assists, with a total of 89.

Senior, Ava Toppin is leading the Gators in hitting kills, with 33 overall kill points.

“We have been off to a great start this season, with beating the defending state champs, Cardinal Gibbons. We have high expectations for ourselves and will continue working hard as we strive for the state championship,” says Ava Toppin, Senior Captain.

Come out and support the volleyball team next Tuesday, 8/31 as they take on Broughton.
