Cross Country Hits Their Stride

Cross+Country+Hits+Their+Stride

The Gator cross country team ran against Apex, Middle Creek, and Green Hope at WakeMed soccer park on Wednesday in their first 5 kilometer race of the season. Aaron Chao led the way for the Gators, coming in 10th place with a time of 22:08. Due to inclement weather, the two races were combined into a men’s and women’s race that was much more crowded than usual.

Coach Barish from Green Level had this to say about the combined race: “Any type of competition is good, … I think we may see some surprises.” Green Level cross country seems to be hitting their “stride” (no pun intended) this season with Campbell Dille and Alex Fernandez winning their respective races in the 3k last week.

Green Level Track will be back at it in a big race tonight (9/10)t at Kernersville. Best of luck to all the runners.
