On Monday afternoon, the Gator Women’s tennis team was set to face off against the Apex cougars. Apex sat at fifth in the SWAC conference while the Gators sat in a third-place tie with Green Hope. The Gators came out and handled business with a commanding 8-1 win.

Gators Eye talked with Sophomore Ariana Mohan about the match and their hopes for the rest of the season, “Today we played really well, and have been performing the whole season. So far we’re set to do really well in the conference and we are hoping to have a repeat of our season last year.”

Women’s tennis is back in action on Wednesday on the road against sixth-ranked Holly Springs Golden Hawks.
