This past Tuesday, our lady gator golfers took on Devils Ridge Golf Club in the conference championship match. It was their second match at Devils Ridge this season.

The Gators finished in 3rd place, behind Green Hope and Holly Springs. Ava Heaton led the way shooting a 78, followed by an 83 for Maddy Linares, an 84 for Lauren Eggers, an 86 for Graycen Horne, and an 89 for Keerthana Vemperala. All five have qualified the the Central Regional championship next week at Longleaf.

The lady gators also celebrated their two seniors, Katie Hunter and Keerthana Vemperala. Keerthana has been part of the team for 3 years now, while this was Katie’s first year on the team. Both were presented with flowers and cupcakes to celebrate.

The end of the regular season meant it was time for individual recognitions. Ava Heaton (Jr) was honored as 1st team all-conference, and Maddy Linares (Jr) and Lauren Eggers (Fr) were recognized as 2nd team all-conference.
