Rock Out with Green Level Dance
December 1, 2021
This Friday, our student dancers will be performing in their first concert of the year. The concert will be at 7 pm. Tickets are $5 per student and 10$ for general admission–you can buy them during lunch all this week. The various group dances and solos will be Rock N’ Roll themed, so be prepared to rock out!
The dancers have been preparing for this concert for months, and while practice has been tiring, they’ve been enjoying it and can’t wait to showcase their hard work. Ms. Pope’s leadership and choreography helped them prepare. Shelby Stetson, a senior, celebrates her hardworking teacher. “[Ms. Pope is] amazing and I love her! She’s probably one of the best dance teachers that I’ve ever had,” she shares.
Stetson has been dancing since seventh grade, but she’s not the only long-time student looking forward to Friday. Liv Marino, a junior, has been dancing for five years. Marino will be in three of the concert performances, along with her other Honors dancers. After all the student’s commitment to practicing, she and her classmates feel prepared for the concert.
While the dance department has been graded on performances before, this concert is solely to help promote the dance program. Come and show your support on Friday! The fun theme, bold choreography, and exciting costumes will definitely make it a night to remember.
