Cheer takes Second Place at States

Second place at States

M. Nereu, Staff Writer

This past Saturday, Dec. 4, the Cheer team went and competed at States. With everything they have battled through this season, especially the recent injuries, they still were able to win Second place.

The week leading up to States was stressful for the girls. They had three people out on recent injuries and because of this, they had to re-work their routine. They only had two practices, where they were able to do the new routine

right before one of their biggest competitions this season. With that being said they were still able to do their thing at States and outperform the other teams in their division.

Senior, Caroline Woods, said:

“It was intimidating going into States with only having had two practices with the new routine. However, placing second in our division was a lot better than we thought we would place.”

Congratulations to the Cheer team in their success this weekend!
