Amidst the trauma and terror of war, the world’s attention has been focused on the country of Ukraine. Across the United States, Americans are trying their best to support Ukraine in its conflict with Russia which has left hundreds dead, thousands homeless, and countless with the fear of what’s to come in the next few weeks.

I invite us, as teenagers, to do what we can to raise awareness. We may not have the money to donate, but I do know that we have the spirit to create. Join me in creating a Ukrainian Mural in Mr. Mapp’s art classroom. Students can paint their own sunflower on the bottom half of the wall, and the top half of the mural will be painted blue, symbolizing the Ukrainian flag as well as the national flower.

While this mural is being created, I will be taking pictures of our progress and possibly vlogging artwork. I will also make an article about my experience and it will be posted on The Gators Eye.
