Raleigh streets were filled with bluegrass this weekend as the annual Bluegrass Festival took over downtown. In addition to the bands, there were plenty of food booths to keep festival-goers happy throughout the day. Like BBQ sandwiches, bluegrass music is considered a part of North Carolina tradition. (And for those wanting to celebrate both, BBQ was indeed available along with the music!). This year’s festival included 100+ singers and bands, and next year’s promises to be just as big. Gators who want to check it out should make their plans for next fall.
