Green Level Baseball Sets Records Against The Cougars!

C. Hall, Staff Writer

Green Level Baseball went into an Away Game against the Apex Cougars. Green Level held a 3-2 lead heading into the game, and was looking to improve on a solid start to the season. Pitcher Levi Gingerich took the mound for the Gators, and nobody could have expected what took place next. There are only 2 no-hitters in the Major Leagues every year, and are extremely rare. Last night, Green Level’s own Levi Gingerich accomplished this feat last night! Throughout the entire 7 innings game, no Apex players got a hit. I got to talk to Levi on what this means for him and the team, and here is what he had to say…

I think this gives the whole team some confidence. We can hopefully gain some momentum now through the tough stretch of games we have coming up.”

What a great accomplishment Levi!

Not to be overshadowed was Nick Luff, who also had an historic moment for the Gators as well, bringing home 3 runs in a three run home-run that added on to the Green Level lead! This home run was the first in school history, and the first of many! Congratulations on setting a record Nick!

All of this surmounted into a Green Level blowout, winning 15-1. The gators take on Cary at home today! Great win gators, and good luck in your future games!
