The Green  Level Men’s Lacrosse team is coming off its most successful season in school history. This is the program’s fourth year and they have already made a name for themselves, making the fourth round of playoffs in just their third season ever before losing in the elite 8 to the state champions.

The team has two play days scheduled for the preseason in which they are playing Leesville, Broughton, and Jordan on the first one and Gibbons, Topsail, and Broughton on the second. Throughout the season they are looking most forward to playing Middle Creek and Holly Springs. Middle Creek eliminated the Gators in the third round of playoffs last year and they are looking forward to the rematch. The Gators have also qualified for the hero challenge, which is a small tournament between the top 10 ranked teams in the state.

This is what Division 1 commit Jackson Spells had to say about the upcoming season:

How do you think the team will compare to last year?

I think talent has definitely separated around the team, we need to rely a lot on our defense this year, and we need our upperclassmen to step up.

What are your thoughts on what this season will look like?

We’re looking to finish near the top of the conference once again.

Do you think the team has a chance of making it far in the postseason?

I think if we get a good draw in the playoffs and we reach our full potential, we can make it all the way.
