The men’s golf team had a full week with two back-to-back matches on Tuesday and Wednesday. On Tuesday they played at RGA and on Wednesday they played at 12 Oaks.

Both matches were extremely difficult, especially in the conditions that they played in. Tuesday the wind was whipping around very strong, causing some struggles but the men’s team pulled through and placed 2nd overall with a combined team score of 151. On Wednesday, the conditions were a lot colder and there was still some decent wind at times. After playing the very tricky 12 Oaks course, the team was able to pull out their second 3rd place ranking with a combined team score of 157.

The team worked extremely hard for both matches. I got the chance to talk to Senior, Drew Eggers about his rounds.

What were your main goals for the two matches this week, especially in the conditions (wind, cold, etc)

My main goal for both of the matches was the same and they were to just be confident and play good golf.

What are your goals for the remainder of the conference season?

My goals for the remainder of the season are the same in that I need to play better golf and start playing with more confidence. I haven’t been playing with much confidence and that is my main goal.

The rest of the season is looking very bright for the men’s golf team and we can’t wait to see what they do next! Come out to their next match on March 20th and Falls Village Golf Club!
