On Thursday, October 17th the Gators JV Football team played Green Hope in the first Green Hope vs Green Level match in Green Level football history, and the Gators got a well deserved victory with a score of 44-22.

The Gators came out quick and outscored Green Hope 20-6 in the 1st quarter, including a touchdown on the first drive. In the second quarter, the final score was 27-6 where Green Level continued to hold the lead. Green Level were dominating the whole game and eventually pulled out the victory with the score of 44-22. Recently, the Gators have been dominating overall and in their conference. We caught up with Chris Jenkins who plays DL and OL to get his thoughts.

GE: How has this winning streak affected the team?

CJ: “Has helped us out with confidence including with conference games.”

GE: Did you guys expect to do this well at the beginning of the season?

CJ: “Yes, we expected to this well because of practice and hard work.”

The Gators continue their road to the end of the season at Cary High on Thursday, October 24th. They look to go 5-0 in the conference and 7-1 overall.
