After a great season for fall sports, Green Level gears up to play basketball, wrestling, swimming, and more. Green Level is returning a lot of talent for last year’s team.
The boy’s and girl’s basketball teams look very strong this year. The girl’s team lost 4 seniors but they are still returning a lot of talent from the starting lineup and key bench players. Going 20-9 overall last season they are looking to win a conference championship. The boy’s team also lost four seniors, but the two leading scorers are coming back. They went 29-2 as they look to win the conference and make a run in the playoffs.
“I think that having a young team and lots of new faces will be a great opportunity for us this season to grow and me for the first time having to take the role as a senior will be a new scenario I myself will have to learn to grow into,” Isaac Ericksen said. This upcoming season for Green Level basketball will have many opportunities for young guys to come in and play as well as older guys leading the team.
The women’s swimming team lost 9 seniors from last season. They look to have many swimmers make it to the state playoffs. With the men’s swimming team losing 16 seniors they look to have someone make a jump and have swimmers make it to the state playoffs.
The men’s wrestling team has had really good seasons winning conference and having a record above .500 season last year. With the girl’s wrestling team returning most of their players from last season, they look to make a big run this season in conference and in states.
This year is going to be a big season for winter sports, with many teams restoring star power and key pieces. This year the Gators look to win many conference championships and multiple playoff appearances.
