Green Level’s Women’s varsity tennis claimed the first regular season Quad City 7 Champion title as well as the first tournament champion title. The team went 11-1 within the conference and 13-1 overall. This is a very successful record for our tennis team in which they were placed within the top 5 teams in the state by high school OT during the mid-season rankings. Since those rankings were posted, the gators have won 6 more games and did not lose once.
The conference tournament was hosted on Monday and Tuesday at Cary Tennis Park where Green Level took home the championship. The way the tournaments are structured in the NCHSAA is where each team sends 2 girls to play singles and 2 to play doubles. Singles games are played between 2 individual players and doubles games are played between 4 players, 2 on each team. Winners are placed into a bracket and play other winners until a single team claims the tournament championship. The 2 singles players that make the championship from each conference are then sent to regionals.
Regionals are played first and then the contending players of regionals then move on to states. The Regional bound player for Green Level is Shreya Uniyal.
Uniyal states, “I hope that I can win states and that I can help my team also win dual teams.”
As of the new 2025-2026 season, Green Level has been admitted into the new conference called the Quad City 7. This Conference includes Panther Creek, Green Hope, Apex Friendship, Apex, Willow Spring, and Jordan. Women’s tennis claimed the first of many QC7 titles. We have high expectations for the other athletics this year and we are looking to gain many more championships within the 2025-2026 school year.
