As the Christmas holiday comes gliding in, so does Fenton. Fenton is once again transforming into a festive place filled with holiday cheer, family friendly activities, and beloved annual traditions. The ice rink being the most anticipated, launched officially on November 7th. The rink welcomes skaters of all ages and has already begun drawing crowds eager to enjoy a classic winter.
On November 22, Fenton is hosting its annual “Light the square” celebration which is the beloved tree lighting that makes the whole place magical starting from 3pm and continuing through 7pm. The celebration will feature live entertainment, holiday treats, and attractions designed to spread Christmas magic throughout the square. The anticipated highlight of the evening will be the lighting of the community Christmas tree, with Santa himself being the one to light the tree and make the Christmas season official.
“I love the Christmas carriage especially during this time of year because I remember I went on it with my family and it was very fun” Said Freshman, Jessie Deodato.
In addition to the lighting ceremony, visitors can look forward to a variety of festive experiences, including Christmas markets, staged photo opportunities, a children’s activity area, and a live performance. Horse drawn carriage rides touring Fenton will also be offered starting November 22nd, and will continue throughout the winter season adding a charming Christmas feel to the entire square.
Freshman Arya Desai said, “I’m really excited to see all of the Christmas decorations up and I love ice skating at the rink in Fenton.”
As Fenton rolls out these holiday changes, the community is invited to take part in the celebrations and enjoy the warm, spirited atmosphere that make this time of the year so special. Whether skating under twinkling lights, shopping locally at holiday markets, or waiting for Santa to ignite the towering tree, visitors will find Fenton glowing brighter than ever for the Christmas holiday season of 2025.
