Green Level Volleyball Hitting Their Stride

For a school made up entirely of freshman and sophomores, winning streaks don’t come easy–but don’t tell that to the Green Level Volleyball Team.

On Monday, August 26th, the Green Level Varsity Volleyball Team defeated Garner 3-0 (25-14, 25-23, 25-20) at The Swamp. The victory represents the second win in program history for the volleyball team and the first winning streak for any sport in school history. The Gators, led by a contingent of ninth and tenth graders, defeated Garner in straight sets.

The Gators dominated the first set, but had to find another gear to hold off the Trojans in the tightly contested second and third sets. The Gators showed grit and poise throughout the night, going up against a squad made up primarily of juniors and seniors.

The Green Level Volleyball teams return to action tomorrow night (8/27)  at 4:00pm/5:00pm/6:00pm (JV B/JV A/Varsity) when they travel up Highway 64 to Apex High School. For complete game schedules visit www.greenlevelathletics.com.
