The Green Level Marching Band has won its first grand championship in school history. You might be telling yourself that the school has been open for 3 years, but to win the grand championship from the ground up is a huge accomplishment. When many think of the band, their thoughts drift to halftime performances at football games. Don’t forget that the band competes against other schools just like sports teams!

They took the trip to Panther Creek last week which is where they placed first.

Anagh Sivadasan has done band all four years of high school and started his band career at Panther Creek his freshman year. As s sophomore and as a freshman,  he volunteered at the event, and sophomore year they did not place. He states. “Coming back to my old school as a senior and to place first means a lot. It shows just how hard the band is working.”

This was truly a great experience for a lot of our Gators and they can use this championship to build upon for years to come.
