Wrestling faced off against Holly Springs on Wednesday, and had some key victories in various matchups. Aiden Middleton, Simon Sadler, Blair Alexander and Darian King all won their matchups, showing that they’re no team to be overlooked.

With Blair Alexander’s win, he remains undefeated in his conference matchups, which is no easy feat. Alexander said on twitter: “Undefeated in conference still […] striving to keep it that way all season.”

We interviewed Thomas Stumbaugh about the matches yesterday, and how the team fared against the Golden Hawks. Thomas did not win his match yesterday, but it was a close one. He said: “Im 6-6. I almost pinned the guy, and all my matches were pretty close … I had the guy in a cradle, but I couldn’t hold him, he was too strong.”

When asked about how he plans to move forward, he said this: “I’m pretty confident, I just have to look at my film, look at my mistakes, and work from there. I’m looking forward to facing Green Hope the most, because some of my friends are on that team, and I’m looking forward to seeing them.” When asked about the keys to success Stumbaugh stated, “It’s all about the mental game, whether you think you can or you think you can, you’re right either way.”

The next match is on Friday, and there’s plenty to look forward to.
