Green Level theatre is hosting the high school addition of Clue on Friday and Saturday, October 24 and 25. There will be three different showings. The Navy cast performs on Friday and Saturday at 7 PM. Meanwhile, the Green cast will just perform on Saturday at 2 PM. In order to see the play from different angles, make sure to go to both the Green and Navy performances.
This play is based on the classic original Hasbro board game, full of mystery and suspense. It’s based on the screenplay by Jonathan Lynn and is written by Sandy Rustin. They also drew inspiration from the Paramount Pictures movie.
The high school edition of Clue is going to be set at a big house party where everything starts going wrong. Everyone at the party has code names, and no one is allowed to reveal their real identities. Since everything is going wrong, the characters start to blame each other. It’s not only going to be a mystery, but it’s also a comedy.
Junior Emily Wilkinson is playing Mrs. Peacock in the Green Cast. She’s very excited to be playing the part of Mrs. Peacock because she is supposed to be a little bit crazy and is a huge comedic relief in the play.
Wilkinson said, “She’s always really hysterical and screaming, it’s really funny.”
Senior, Leah Smith, is the lead in the Navy cast. She plays Wadsworth, who, in the case of the high school edition, is the uptight butler of the house where the party is happening.
Smith said, “He’s super dramatic and has a lot of personality and crash outs, which is super fun to do.”
Lindsey Robinson is a Junior who is a part of the leadership team for this play. She was in charge of making sure that they had the historical context of the play since it was set in the 1950s. Her favorite part of the play is all of the comedic moments and how the characters were brought to life.
Robinson said, “The sets look amazing and everyone is doing a great job with the acting.”
This comedic mystery is going to be entertaining and will keep the audience not only laughing but also on their toes.
Smith’s advice is to “just trust no one.”
Tickets are $12 for adults and $10 for kids. This is a cash-free event, so make sure to purchase tickets online and bring a card. Tickets can be purchased on the Green Level Theatre website at GLHSTheatre.ludus.com.
