Ken Block passed on January 2nd.

Who Is Ken Block?

Ken Paul Block was born on November 21, 1967, in California. He was a professional rally driver with the Hoonigan Racing Division, a co-founder of DC Shoes, and a popular Youtuber.

Block was one of the most famous Rally car drivers in the world. He competed since the mid-2000s, fishing on the podium dozens of times. But he also competed in motocross, snowboarding, and skateboarding. Block sold his ownership of DC Shoes and focused on Hoonigan Industries. He was the co-owner and “Head Hoonigan In Charge” (HHIC) at the company before his death.

Block passed away at 55 in a snowmobile accident near his ranch in Woodland, Utah, on January 2, 2023. Due to the incident being so recent, the details surrounding the incident are not clear yet. The Wasatch County sheriff’s department reported that Block had been riding in the Mill Hollow area when his snowmobile upended a steep slope and landed on top of him. Block was declared dead at the scene of the accident. “Mr. Block was riding with a group but alone when the accident occurred,” the sheriff’s office said in a statement.
