The Green Level High School Automotive Club has started a charity in collaboration with Porshe Southpoint and Leith Porshe. They are collecting packaged toys – preferably toy cars – to donate to the Durham Rescue Mission. Feel free to stop by Mr. Moore’s room and drop off your donations in the boxes!

Car enthusiasts are a passionate bunch, and many are using their love of cars to positively impact the world. From charity car shows to free drives for children, there are countless ways that car lovers are driving for a cause.

One popular way car enthusiasts give back to the community is through charity car shows. These events bring together car lovers from all over to showcase their vehicles and raise money for a good cause. These events can make a big difference in the lives of those in need.

Charity car shows are a great way for car enthusiasts to come together and share their love of cars while supporting a great cause. They provide an opportunity for car owners to show off their builds and for spectators to come and admire the display. In addition to the vehicles, these events often feature food and drink vendors, music, and more, making them a fun and festive way to spend a day.

Car devotees also use their passion for good through driving their vehicles. These can take many forms, from car washes to road parades, but the goal is always the same: to put a smile on someone’s face. It is common for owners to take children on drives in their fancy cars, often calling this “smiles per gallon.”

Of course, not everyone is able to organize large-scale events or fundraising drives. But even small acts of kindness can make a big difference. Whether it’s offering to give a friend a ride to work or volunteering to help a neighbor with car trouble, there are countless ways that car lovers can cultivate their passion, dedicating it to making a positive impact in their communities.

So, if you’re a car lover looking to make a difference, don’t be afraid to get creative. Whether you’re contributing to a charitable car show or simply donating a toy to your school’s automotive club, your passion can be a powerful force for good in the world and can also change the negative view that many people have towards car enthusiasts.
