At Green Level, we pride ourselves on showing school spirit. But why should we show spirit?
Sports often get the most attention from students, as it is a traditional staple to the high school experience. Even though our football team may be in shambles, it’s still important to go and support them. There are so many fun things to do at athletic events such as socializing, watching amazing athletes, and supporting your school.
Senior Kenia Devoise says, “Barely anyone comes to the games anymore. My freshman year was so fun because people showed up and just enjoyed the environment.”
If athletics isn’t your thing, the arts are just as important. There are many different things going on in the arts department including chorus, band, theatre, and dance. There are multiple events per department, with so many students to support.
Sophomore Elijah Diaz-Perez says, “Chorus concerts are so fun to be at. We love performing for people and I wish more students would show up to support.”
Now, if you really don’t want to support the arts or athletics, there’s always clubs and other activities to cheer on. We have organizations like FBLA, Unified, and our very own Gator’s Eye.
Spirit week is also a great way to show your love for the school. Participating in it always makes teachers and staff super happy. Who cares if it’s embarrassing!
Other events you can go to include the Multicultural Festival, HOCO, Prom, and the art markets.
No matter what, you should always support your Gators on their hard work and dedication to keeping our school exciting and fun!
