Fashion club at Green level is one of 170+ clubs and is hosted in room 2115 by Ms. Jarnagin every other Thursday. This club’s student leaders are Patience King and Ethan Seddon. Both Patience and Ethan are seniors and took upon the leadership for the club 2 years ago when they were sophomores. The club aims to inspire people to dress according to how they feel and think.
Patience, who serves as one of the club’s primary leaders, is keenly focused on turning her passion into a career. She shared her post-graduation plans, confirming her seriousness about the industry, “I am looking at FIT and scad.” said Patience. These are both good schools to study fashion at.
They are searching for leaders to run the club in the following years after they graduate. “We definitely want the club to stay as long as possible in the school, and we hope that they keep making annual magazines,” Said Patience.
One of the club’s special events is that the members brainstorm and agree on a certain theme. This theme can be vintage, streetwear, catwalk, or anything else. Once the theme is set, the club transforms into a collaborative space. Members are responsible for all aspects of publication: they design page layouts, curate and direct personal photo shoots, write analytical articles on style history and trends, and craft styling tips relevant to the theme.
The final product, usually a digital magazine, serves as a tangible portfolio displaying and representing the club as a whole.
