The winter sports season is finally upon us and students are thrilled to spectate all the winter games. Many teams, such as the Women’s Basketball and Gymnastics, had their first events Saturday, November 9th.

The Women’s Varsity Basketball team played against Apex Friendship this weekend on Saturday. It was a scrimmage in which the score was not kept, however, all games and scrimmages following this will keep track of the score. Their first basketball game ever in Green Level history is on November 22nd against South Garner at Green Level. Many people are excited for this year’s winter sports including JV Basketball player, Gavin Critcher. He claims that he’s “very excited for this season because [he wants] to see the chemistry for the team and how the team progresses over the year.” He also says his “teammates encourage me when I miss shots and encourage me to do my best.”
