This past week at Green Level High School, the spotlight shifted from the classrooms to the front office, as students and staff came together to honor the incredible administrative professionals who serve as the school’s backbone.
Administrative Professionals Appreciation Week was a chance to recognize and celebrate the hardworking individuals who keep the school running smoothly every single day.
Whether they’re answering phones, helping late students check in, managing attendance, coordinating appointments, or keeping things organized behind the scenes, Green Level’s front desk staff do it all with a calm presence and welcoming smile.
This year’s honorees—Mrs.McIndoe, Mrs. Hardie, Mrs. Patrick, Mrs. Rys, Mrs. Stein, and Mrs. White are the Front Desk superheroes of our school
“They’re the first faces people see when they enter the school, and they set the tone for the entire day,” said Officer Kelam, Green Level’s SRO officer. “Their kindness, professionalism, and commitment are at the heart of our school community.”
Throughout the week, the appreciation didn’t go unnoticed. A decorated front office, complete with balloons and posters, set the mood for the weeklong celebration.
“Every time I forget my Chromebook or need to call home, they’re always patient and understanding,” said sophomore Nishka Manglani, “They don’t get enough credit, but they do so much.”
Despite juggling dozens of tasks at once, the admin team remains a calm and supportive presence in the school, whether it’s comforting a nervous student, helping a substitute get settled, or assisting a parent with questions. Their dedication often goes unseen, but never unfelt.
“Sometimes people forget how much they do,” added freshman Aura Quazi, “They make Green Level feel like a family.”
Green Level High School is known for its strong sense of community, and that spirit starts with the people at the front—literally. As Administrative Professionals Appreciation Week comes to a close, the school is reminded that it’s not just the lessons in the classroom that make a difference, but the people who show up every day to help students feel safe, supported, and seen.
This week served as a powerful reminder: behind every great school is a great team of administrative professionals making it all happen.
