Stunt finished the season 15-1; at one point, they had a 30-game winning streak. They are arguably the most consistently successful team at Green Level. In every single WCPSS Championship, they have come in first or as runner-up.
Since the start of Stunt at Green Level, they have won every conference championship. That’s five conference championships back-to-back.
Six members of the team earned all-conference this season. There were three Sophomores: Alyssa Velasquez, Harper Willis, and Anna Lee. The two Senior captains, Ava Harm and Emma Green, also earned all-conference. Junior captain, Kailyn Benson, was the first to be announced on Green Level Stunt Instagram. She has been a very important factor in all of their success.
Benson said, “Earning all-conference is an award that I am so happy to receive. It means to me that I worked hard in everything I did and helped the team reach success by doing so.”
Being a captain as a Junior changed Benson’s role on the team. “My role is to uplift my teammates and always be dedicated to performing the best I can.”
The team had a lot of new members who were not as familiar with Stunt, but the captains made sure to get them ready for the season. It worked
Harm said, “Teaching them the specifics and little things was the most difficult, but our biggest success was definitely winning the conference for the fifth time in a row.”
They’re losing a large chunk of seniors, so there are some worries about how the team will do next year. Luckily, there are important leaders returning, and the program continues to grow as Stunt becomes more popular.
“I’m excited to watch and support everything they do in the upcoming years,” said Harm.
The team is looking forward to another great year, and as most of them also do cheerleading, they’re looking forward to the Fall football season. Keep supporting our Gators as they have their cheer seasons and look towards bringing home another WCPSS Championship next year.
